Students explored the seven fine arts in relation to beauty and aesthetics. Throughout the unit, they expanded their vocabulary, delved into new themes, and delivered comparative presentations using Venn diagrams. This comprehensive approach allowed them to gain a deeper understanding of the seven fine arts and effectively communicate their insights to the entire class.
My ELD 1 Portfolio: End of Course Test
Students created presentations covering all the topics we studied during the semester. This project enabled them to review the material, reinforce areas needing improvement, and prepare a comprehensive review for the next school cycle and ELD level. Each student presented their work in front of the class, finding the activity both challenging and enjoyable. The presentations not only demonstrated their understanding but also boosted their confidence and presentation skills.
Ethos, Pathos, Logos: Gallery Walk ELD level 4
In this lesson, ELD 4 students explored the rhetorical appeals of Ethos, Pathos, and Logos. During a classroom gallery walk, students examined various advertisements showcasing these appeals. Each student selected an advertisement, analyzed its rhetorical strategies, and presented their insights to the class. They evaluated the ad's persuasiveness and effectiveness with its audience.
